My two youngest sons and I are attending the event in Escanaba. Pretty good turnout, and some familiar faces. 40 or so miles today, hot and human trip to the U.P. State Fair, Sand Point Lighthouse, and back to Island Resort Casino. Our Fordor's generator was intermittent all day, and seems to have crapped out completely. Cleaned the commutator without luck. Before we depart in the a.m.for the 120 mile run, I will pull the generator and take a peek inside.
Kelly and I are also on the Jamboree. Great day with wonderful Upper Peninsula scenery!
I'm in the market for an armature, or complete working generator. I didn't want to drive in heavy rain without headlights.
Adam Doleshal is a great guy. My shorted armature is no longer shorted :-) Imagine taking a phone call at 7:15 a.m. from a fellow T owner, while you're on vacation.
Wish I were up there, but with the Ohio Jamboree just two weeks away too much on my plate. I love the UP scenery. Have friends that "summer" way up in the Keweenaw (sp?) and from the pics they always send, I'm just dying to get my T up there for a tour. Maybe someday.
