I am looking for copies of period pictures or other documentation on the stripping pattern used on 1911-12 wheels inside and out, front and back.
Older forum post, shows an original 1911 wheel with remains of striping.
Today you see a lot of 'open' darts on the long spoke stripe, but likely a lot of these early Fords got that flared out dart, simple but elegant, as the artist probably started at the hub section and drew the stripe up the spoke.
Thin double lines around the felloe. Only striped on the outside of the wheel.
My '13 touring was striped just like Russ Furstnows wheel. It is a February '13 car.
