I know this not a question to ask on Sunday but... .
Till now , as I rebuild a model T generator I had to go to a near auto electric shop to make them test the armature on a growler.
Yesterday I visit a friend, 300 miles from here, and we talked about this. He told me he had two growler and didn't do anything with one of them.
I changed two rebuild brass top coils for the growler and took it home.
Now I am looking for someone who can advice me how it works, how to use it, how to test an armature and what is tested.
Easy to use, google some U-tube clips on it, saves trying to writing a description.
some actually use the growler to demagnetize items not what it was originally built for
I wonder if a DLRO could be used to check coil rings successfully? I have one like this:

Thanks Jim for the info.
