My son sent me this picture. Maybe it's been on the Forum already, but here it is. Mike

Proper etiquette calls for pulling to the side of the road and parking while typewriting.

I spend a lot of time driving in my work. I am blown away by the amount of
people I see driving with phones in their hands, looking in their laps, not going
when the light turns green ....

I would expect to see FAR more crashes than I do.

That truck had to hit that tree at a pretty good clip to do that much damage, Maybe because the windshield is in good shape the brake handle dropped to direct drive and the truck got away from them? To hit that hard and no windshield damage is hard to believe.

Looks terrible from this angle, but most of the damage appears to be the left end of the axle hung the tree....the hoodline appears intact, the frame is not too bad considering the position of the steering column and the body and cowl area is not collapsed. Less than 10mph I would say. I'll bet this truck was repaired and hauled the mail again.

Willie, maybe he had the flat tire first and then lost control?

Burger, You got that right! The thing that gets me going also is people that leave two or more spaces in front of them at a light. Of course then the cars in the back of the line miss the light and have to wait. Here in SoCal we only have so much room for cars.. hee hee

Gene speaks the truth! Socal is terrible. That 2 car length space has gone viral. Get stuck behind them all the time.
