Is the vaporizer carburetor one that is still used? I live in Colorado. 5280 feet
Some people do.
I run a vaporizer on my late 1927 T and have done so for most of the 20 years I have had the car. I live at around 1500' msl.
Daniel, I suppose if a vaporizer is correct for your car or truck, and you want to keep it original, you might want to use it, but vaporizers are temperamental and don't like air leaks; can make them hard to start. If you get one starting and running good, it will probably reward you with higher fuel mileage, but at a sacrifice of power. Whichever you choose to use, at your altitude, you'll have to lean the fuel mixture to compensate for the thinner atmosphere.
