MAGNETS SUPERCHARGED ON FLYWHEEL IN CAR, HOGSHEAD OFF
The pair of identical pear shaped coils, of 144 turns of #14 house wire, compressed vertically inside, each layer starts over, with a magnet inside, are held against an attracting magnet on the flywheel. For Flywheel 10A the sum of the magnets held 288.680 pounds. One magnet held 24.814 pounds.

Conclusion, early small magnets have better magnetic material considering their small size.
CHARGE TOOL ATTRACTING FLYWHEEL
After charging, to overcome the tool magnet to flywheel magnet high tension attraction, tip the tool up 90 degrees. Then pull and rotate, separating one magnet end. Then pull up and away the other end.
Flywheel 10A held 231.688 pounds before being charged. The Model T magneto flux induction is from the side of the magnet into the magnet clamp plate 3277 and then into the coil assembly. This is MAGNET WEIGHT TESTING of ENGINE INDUCTION. Ford's requirement was 40 pounds magnet end pick-up. Picking up is a function of acceleration. Holding, presented here, is steady state. The purpose of this presentation is to provide the design and test data of a small 3 pound palm held tool that instantly charges a magnet on the flywheel, on a bench, or in a car, by a $40 battery charger in the 12 volt, 55 amp start mode. Eight attracting magnets are charged. The tool is flipped over and the other 8 attracting magnets are charged. Took 6 minutes total on a wood bench. The tool is pre-charged, essentially eliminating power lost in the tool.
SLIP-INTO COIL VERTICAL STACKED WINDINGS_1024
COILS VERTICAL STACKED INSIDE. Looking into the open ends of the coils shows vertically stacked inner windings to get the maximum turns. Each identical coil is wound from a 50 foot #14 Thin Insulated Red House Wire from Home Depot on a mandrel made from a 3/4” x 6” iron pipe nipple machined on one side to 0.78" outside thickness with a 3” pipe flange screwed on backwards. A 3/8” x 3” dia. aluminum PRY-OFF DISK was lathe cut and center bored to slip over the nipple. Four 7/16” wide x 1/16” deep slots are milling machined in the back to provide screw driver pry off slots. See MAGNET CHARGING pdf SHEET 1 MANDREL for details.
Benefits of High Magnetic Charge
Higher magnetic charge increases the magneto output voltage. A higher voltage sine wave will last longer before crossing the minimum threshold voltage required by the coils to fire a spark plug. This should significantly reduce the no response dead zone in spark advance. When starting the engine on magneto, spark plugs should fire at lower RPM resulting from increased voltage. An electronic voltage regulator could be used to limit the maximum voltage if desired.
The Model T magneto flux induction is from the side of the magnet into the magnet clamp plate 3277 and then into the coil assembly. For bench testing, the maximum flux location on the side of the magnet plate is found by a 1” dia. x 2.5” steel ROLLER PIN (POLE SEEKING PIN) which rolls and slides automatically for the location of maximum holding near the magnet ends just before falling. If not near the ends, suspect a cracked magnet.
