They are looking sharp with their new Ford and Harley JD. The Ford has a starter and the HD has electric lights. Only the Best.
Your tax dollars at work.
Cool photo, Jay
That was the precinct that my Italian immigrant Grandparents resided in ! They also operated the M & M Tomaso's Grocery in Rainier Valley, which was a good sized Italian neighborhood S.E. of downtown Seattle.
Good eye Richard on the HD. Did you notice the Motorman wearing the gloves and boots? No helmets back then either, wow! Jeff Lemaux is the curator for the Detriot Police Museum and is still looking for a mid 20's T to recreate the first radio equipped police vehicle in the nation. On a side note, Can't help but wonder how these officers would handle the Black Lives Matter protesters or all the civil unrest nowadays? Hmmmmm. Excellent pictures Jay, thank you.
Notice the 1921 Green Visor headlamp lens -- only used for several months in the first half of 1921.

I think it's clear, the SPD was thoroughly engaged with the Black Cars Matter movement.
