Interesting prices,

Did you know a model T could be driven for up to another 5 years from 1929 if serviced!

I think that I need one of their rear axle overhauls for $5.75 to $7.00. I think that the thrust washers finally gave out in my '23. Towed home from a car show last Saturday.:-(

We see these prices and get nostalgic for the Good Old Days, but that $5 fender costs a whole day's pay.

Why does that card get continuously passed around on the internet on various car forums and emailed to hobbyists?

Same reason people still watch I Love Lucy reruns. Just because you've seen something before doesn't mean it's not still interesting or entertaining to see again.

"The Ford Model T is still used by more people than any other automobile". As I looked around at Greenfield Village three weeks ago, I noticed that was true.

A few years ago I posted that card which I had received as an e-mail from a neighbor who knows that I like Model T's. I had not seen it before and thought it to be interesting to post on the forum. I got the same response as Erik Johnson. It hurt my feelings to receive that response. Please don't pick on Kevin. I'm sure he wasn't aware of the previous posts either.
Norm

All sorts of stuff gets posted and reposted. Lots of new folks on the forum too who most likely have never seen it or the other reposts. It's OK Erik, relax.....

I was and still am relaxed and I didn't mean to pick on anyone.

I'm just curious as to why that particular item gets passed around so much on the internet. Just thinking out loud.

I think it best to just going around looking for ways to have one's feelings hurt.

How did Mr. Gleason know that Chester was STILL driving a T?
Watchful eye from the Ford dealer in Bottineau.
Cool pics!
I have never seen these before.
New, yet old I am.

I enjoy looking at that card every time it shows up! Just like many photos that repeat, sometimes several times.
Thank you for posting it!
Norman K, If I missed thanking you at the time? My apologies. My feeling is that a lot of new people look in here, and if I don't like it? I can just look away. But, here I am, knowing what card it is by the title, and looking at it. Again. And I am enjoying it. Again.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

We have to remember that their are some people who haven't seen it all. That's a neat card to see from time to time.
Its kind of like (well if you have one T why do you need another!?).

I haven't seen it before this post... and found it quite interesting! It's not something I would have likely seen had someone not posted it 'again'!

Awesome! I've not seen that before either.

I have a nice copy of that laminated and I hang it on my easel with the other t information. It keeps getting re-posted because it didn't get thrown in the trash with all of the other Junk mail and has somehow survived. Probably got lost behind a heavy desk and wasn't found until they had an estate sale. :-)

I love seeing that card. Think I'll give Freighter Jim a call right now and see how soon he can pick up my car and haul it to Bottineau, North Dakota.

I plan on getting "The Works". Maybe they'll give me a discount if I have everything done at once.

Dick
