The picture shows a new spring radiator cup and one that I just pulled off the T.
I remember back a few years ago that when I mounted the radiator that the lower and upper springs where squashed all the way down. The new stud that I received from the vendor is 3 3/8 inches. All I have read is that the stud should be 3 ½ inches. It seems that being short 1/8 inch is the issues that I have with my hood not lining up.
The questions are:
1) Should I cut the bottom spring down some?
2) Does anyone sell a 3 ½ inch radiator stud? Or am I going to have to make my own? If the stud was a little longer would be a little easier to adjust the radiator.
3) Should I reuse the old spring cup? The edges are razor sharp and I could file the edges and get them square again.
The spring are what I pulled off the T. They are both the lower springs and the upper springs.
