Howdy all, I have a set of Larry Sidmore's AC brakes and they have worked really well for me. However, after a few years of tough driving and figuring out how to adjust them, I've worn the linings down enough that I want to replace them.
Is there a better material to re-line them with than the material they come with? If not, I'll just contact Larry and see if he will sell me a set of linings and rivets.
Seth, check on Mc Master Carr's website. They'll have what you need.
McMaster sells by the foot. Get the stuff with brass threads running thru it.
I bought my replacement linings from Chaffin's, it's called "Green Gripper" and is indeed green with brass threads running through it (the brass threads stab your fingers when you are cutting or handling it).
