I am re fitting a wood firewall on my 17 roadster and could use some pics especially of the former/drip rail and how it is fastened. Thanks

See the threads below. Note that for 1917 there is a three-piece metal cap with cotton webbing on top of it. There is no gutter/drip rail on the cap.

Michael, don't be in a hurry to nail down the top section. That hole in the middle governs where the centre hood rod goes. You may well be able to get a much better hood fit by moving the piece left or right a bit to get the hood to line up better at the back and consequently the front too.
