IS THERE A WAY OF REMOVEING SOME DINGS FROM THE EDGE OF THE RIM WHERE THE BEAD LOCKS IN?,LOOKS LIKE IT WAS RUN FLAT A SHORT WAY AT SOME TIME.THERE NOT BAD WOULD JUST LIKE TO STRAIGHTEN THOSE OUT IF THERE IS A WAY TO DO SO.GREG
Have before cold bent small rim bends with right sized adj. monkey wrenches. Enough to bring them back straight. If the edges are thinned or sharp by rust inside the rim look for better ones IMO.
I just use a large (10 to 12 inch) Crescent wrench. Adjust firm, lift gently till near straight with the rest of the arc. An eight inch Crescent will work, and may be needed if a rim ding is deep. A really deep ding may need a tire iron and something for a fulcrum to start it.
Then, years ago, I had a beautiful rim with a large caliber bullet hole in it. That took a torch and some brazing.
