Hello to all of you, since one week we are travelling from Darwin in direction to sydney. Today we found a small (private) museum in Winton (Queensland):

They have a lot of trucks and some engines from several trucks. No guide, so you have to look on your own and pay the entree fee (5 AUD) in a box at the entrance.

I spent a lot of time working in West Queensland in the'80's and 90's... always managed to find a bit of T stuff on the property dumps, many of which covered a couple of acres , usually in an out of the way part of the station... properties can range in size .. 50 thousand plus acres is not uncommon... the biggest I did a job on was a bit further south around Windorah at 2.5 million acres. I kick myself when I think of the old cars I should have collected. Good to see that the Honesty and Honour System is still alive and well.. it was always a feature of life in the Outback... a code that was respected and woe betide he who broke it.
