Paint inside transmission - anyone ever painted the inside of the transmission oil pan (white)? If so, what paint was used? THANKS
Not white. Glyptal.
Why not white? Would help to see into an otherwise dark space.
I would not trust any white paint to stick. Glyptal Will stick.
Looking into a transmission you're not seeing very far, no matter what color the paint is. Drums, bands, etc., are right up top.
Too much stuff to see in very far.
Bill, Glyptal is "designed" to use inside an engine. The racing guys use it. Its supposed to help the oil drain back to the sump faster, seals the pores of the metal and cast iron blocks, and just keeps everything cleaner inside. Most white paint is not designed to be inside an engine and it could come off in flakes and cause a lot of problems. have fun and be safe Donnie Brown ...
