Looks like a Packard '30' town car (or similar limousine) backed in by the hotel. I hope he isn't TOO close to the tracks? He may not have been able to see the tracks when he parked there.

The large curved building on the second block is still there and it doesn't look like they did much to it. In the first photo look down by the second trolley car and you'll see the rounded front building with the lower half in white stone for the first two stories then it changes to brown stone. You can still see this building in the second photo just past the tree.

Love the early photo and added it to my collection on the computer. I change my screen saver often to reflect the seasons so I guess this will be my winter screen saver for a while.
