Any ideas as to the date on this fan assembly. I know the elbow is an addition. The brass hub has no identification.

The Rodda "Parts Identification Guides" are generally a good way to date parts like this. It looks to be a typical 1911 - 1916 fan. The arm continued to use the tensioner spring bump for some time after they went to a tensioner bolt but I can't remember when exactly that was deleted.
