I have not been able to confirm that T emergency brake rods have a locknut which screws up against the front clevis to stop movement on the thread. I have seen a number of rods with damaged threads where the clevis was allowed to "work". By running a locknut up against the clevis, this problem is solved.
What was the factory fitting?
