Did the Ford factory ever use leather fan belts as late as the mid 20s? I'm thinking of switching to leather on my 25 and keeping the rubber and cloth as a spare. Just a thought.

When I bought my 1926, never restored, Coupe in 1970, it had a very old looking leather fan belt. On each end were steel brackets riveted onto the ends that interlaced like a hinge. Once the interlaced ends were fit into eachother, a pin went through to hold the ends together. I'm not sure if it was original to the car or a very old aftermarket replacement but I sure wish I would have kept it. Jim Patrick
