Where do you start in replacing wood door posts where existing posts have dry rot?I have purchased the wood for the top and thought maybe I could cut and install my own door posts. Any words of wisdom?

Keep all the bad wood for patterns is the best I can tell you. Even then plan on doing some tweaking because the old wood may have warped over the years. Also take as many pictures of your project of anything and everything so you have a reference down the road. You can PM me if you have questions or need dimensions. Stay safe.
