Can someone tell me how to properly adjust the reed to get a better sound out of a bulb brass horn?
Have seen it done with a cut tapered match stick by this expert who did it before, and results were a good bass deep sounding honk. Wood stick placed at right spot to slightly bend the reed, but you have to know how! Too much wrecks the reed permanently
For reading, this old review off Google books gives expert advise, but not for the timid, as this author says to have a good spare reed before adjusting the one in the horn!
