That look like today's "road maintainer' it moves material back and forth across the road filling in potholes and leveling the surface at the same time. They work great if you take your time running them. Most guys try to run it in a high gear and all that does is cause a washboard effect. Slow and steady boys just slow and steady.

With Fordson power you can count on it being slow and steady.Usually the county uses tandem dump trucks and then about every 5 years true them up with a Cat grader probably about 450 horse and 40 ton! Bud in Wheeler,Mi.

My dad was the road over seer for the town ship and rode a pull type grader and it was pulled by a caterpillar tractor and the driver was known as a cat skinner from the old mule driving days, because you had to whip the skin off a mule to make him go.
