Hi there,
At some stage somebody upgraded my centre door's dash by fitting another on top of the old one, when I removed the new one last night I found remants of material stuck to parts of the old dash and fitted neatly around the steering. The material is grey with two stripes one black and one a white dotted line and is fitted with the lines running vertically down the dash, guess it was the same as the original uholstrey which was missing when I purchased the car. Is this original on dash boards or has somebody added it in the early days.
Thanks
Bernie

You are indeed lucky to have a center door. I have owned three, No center door that I know off ever had any material on the dash. Also no center door that I know of every had two stripes. As far as I know all center doors had a material that was grey with a black stripe. I will try to send you a picture of original material.

The picture show a red or pinkish color, this is the computer and not the material. The actual color is a dull grey with a black stripe. Go to your wholesale auto upholstry supplier and check 1986 Chevrolet sedan material.

The first early closed car that I saw, I thought it was brown also but it is years of dirt and dust that makes it look brown. The piece that I took the picture of was protected from dirt and dust and was grey. Since them I have seen many more that were all grey with a black stripe. It was in the latter Ts. that they started using frown material.
