OMG! Right hand AND thumb wrapped. Probably rode in the back of the truck and drank from the garden hose too. Kid probably never made it to adulthood.

It has a Connecticut license plate. I like the "White" tires. The wheels could be something other that black from it's looks. The child as well as the barn are charming also.

In another lifetime, I recall reading that wheels were sometimes painted dark blue into 1920, but that information was offered long before the detailed documentation that has come to light in the past 50 years. If that's true, it could account for the appearance of the wheels in this picture. Guessing about color in black and white photos could be a little easier if we knew for sure when panchromatic films were commonly used.

This is a really great picture !! Jay, I don't know how you keep them coming, but I'm mighty grateful !!
