Here is a photo to show differences in construction of Canadian boxes.
Note that both backstraps are drilled for rivet holes, even though the bottom ones were never used
Both straps are bent over outside of the box sides. The lower bent tab is visible
The upper tab is sandwiched between the box and the bracket, which has a relief pressed into it to accommodate the bent tab.

I also have a Canadian 26-27 coil box but the holes are inset about two inches. I wonder if they are from different suppliers?
The end mounting bracket on mine has three rivets I can't tell if yours has two or three. The rivet heads are slightly different shaped
Allan, Hmmm, seems to be different configurations concerning those rivet holes...one looks like a domestic coil box and then there is yours...don't think it warrants a second drawing just to show the relocation of those holes.
I do see what you mean about the strap's ends, ok, I'll make that change, seems to be standard for the Canadian box, even David's has the ends wrapped around the outside also.
Just one more detail Martin. The tubular rivets holding the bottom contact strip to the woodwork have the heads in the relief in the woodwork and the spread end on the metal strip. They need to be turned upside down. Unfortunately, that means they need to be shown under the base wood. I agree there is little need to show the variations in the rivet hole placement in the straps.

Ok,
Every detail appears to be there, bravo and very professional. Excellent work.
