I bought a 1923 Center Door, sight unseen, to build a hot rod out of it. When I picked it up, I realized I would spend the rest of eternity in Hell if I did that to this car. So I found another one that had already been cut up and now want to give this one a new home. I just want what I paid for it. $17,500.00 I would have to say it is most likely the best original Center Door in the world. I bought it from a bail bonds company that had it since 1930 and used as inside advertising. They told me it has around 4,000 original miles on it. The speedo is the only thing wrong with it. Runs and drives perfect! Greg Hahs (909) 292-8461 Only the driver seat has been redone. If I only could figure out how to turn the photo!1923 Center Door

I bought one to save it from the same fate with the idea in mind of finding a good safe home for it. Unfortunately, now I can't bring myself to sell it so I guess it will just have to reside with me! Why don't you keep it and enjoy it.

It even has the original pin striping on the spokes. The second time I drove it, I took it right through the front hedge around our house. Didn't do one single thing to the car. Wish I could say the same thing about the hedge!

Please sell that beautiful '17 Center door body to someone who will put it on an original chassis and buy a fiberglass body for your hot-rod.

firewall is all cut up, all new wood, dash is all different, no hood, floor is all different. Not worth the effort to put it on an original chassis.

Greg,

Thank you for respecting that 23 Sedan.

tommy,

I don't suspect Greg will do anything more radical to the '17 than has already been done. (It'll actually have a much cooler engine than what it currently has.) It'll have to wait for some future owner to do as you were hoping.
