Just wondering what the story is on the green shades on the headlights? I am assuming that they are not correct for the year, or at the very least, some aftermarket add on? http://www.wallpaperup.com/879540/1913_Ford_Model-T_Runabout_vintage.html
Those are Macbeth lenses. I have some on my '17.
Very popular in T times:
They make a car look sleepy! (Neat !! )
That's what I thought also. A sleepy T. Neat and different.
I have a NOS lens with the green V. It's in the original package. It is totally flat.
Did someone let the air out of it ?
My '18 came with a set of deep yellow lenses, like a pair of sunglasses for that T's eyes.
Royce, that's your May Beaudette body, ain't it? That shade of green, whether it's the lighting or what, looks really good!
Is this like your flat green painted visor lens? Genuine Ford from 1921.
Notice the flat straight cuts on the edges that fit into the retainer clips on the headlight rims. That keeps the lenses from rotating from the vibrations, same as the later "H" lenses.
