Just bought new tires. There is a whitish waxy film on the tires. I believe the film to be mold release. What is the best way or solvent to remove this film?
Thanks much for any tips.

Start with the mildest solution first, then work up to more aggressive methods later, only if necessary.

Start with dish soap, hot water, and a soft bristle brush. :-)

I used that waxy finish to my advantage when installing tires on the rims they slipped over the rims easily
