This was right at the foot of the ascent to Snoqualmie summit. I *think*
it was still there in the mid-60's, before DOT built the highway into a freeway.
Dad would take me over to eastern Washington to tag along as he hunted
ducks, quail, pheasant and other upland birds.
You are looking due north. Alpental ski resort is behind that mountain to
the right. The road seen here is now eastbound only. Westbound traffic had
a new road built on the other side of the valley, much of it on stilts farther up.
What a great, yet simple photo.
