I suspect that the cowl is your photograph is similar to the accessory on this car.
Doesn't it appear the headlight glass in the top photo is slightly convex, rather than flat ?
That's the parabolic mirror at the rear of the gas light.
Yes, you can see a wee reflection of light on the reflector of the passenger side lamp, but not in the thoroughly dirty driver's side, Probably just a play of light - I was hoping to find if anyone knew if the glass in gaslights was invariably flat or not.
Gas lamps had flat glass in the lamp door (rim). Hope that this helps. Bill
If that cowl extension were just another foot or two taller, it would REALLY be ugly !
