A thread was posted a while ago on a similar subject, but I figured it was time to start the thread again.
Post any T-related memes and funny stuff that you all can think of! Let's make this a humorous thread that all of us can get a good kick out of!
Here's one to start it off:
And here's another one that I came up with a while ago
Ok - THAT was funny!!
Cameron's guy looks suspiciously like a couple Model T guys I know !
I found this one online a couple years ago.
Too bad that isn't a 1915 T hauling hay. Definitely a cool meme though.
A '15 or a '17-'18, the point gets through anyway
This one might be on topic regarding online buying or selling T:s and parts..
These are great ! Almost as much fun as the old photos.
I see myself in the cartoon Royce posted, and also in the one Roger posted . . .
The old Gasoline Alley strip is a gold mine for T lovers. Thanks to all who put up a gag ! Keep 'em coming !
How about his one:
This one is going on my shop wall once I get it built
Hey, Bubba, did ya'll finally manage to get rid of that ol' T Model?
Yeah, but it weren't easy, Cletus.
How'd 'ja do it?
Well, we advertised it for sale and nobody'd buy it. Then we advertised it for free and nobody'd take it. We finally just parked it around behind the house and moved away.
Been a while for These. Neat idea Cameron.
It is the correct era and spoke pattern.
I used to have a sign on the wall in the Butte County Historical Society building: "On this Site in 1835, nothing happened"
It was actually a teaching tool, as I would explain to school groups that something happened, but there was no one around to write it down, nor remember it; but back in the east coast, like in Philadelphia, there were written records, going back many years longer. California truly was "the new land."
So where is the 1921 Ford??
Probably in the bucket of the power shovel.
Ok, a few non-T but Ford comics and cards:
Early 06 Model K, "lucky for me you weren't killed"
Similarities to a K, and Scranton PA had an active Ford dealer with several Model K sales:
Ford advertisement reporting one parishioner skips church because he's afraid of a quartet, he's so taken with a six....
Post Card showing an 07/08 K touring:
Good morning.
Packed with iron and porcelin is good for the teeth Richard!!! Its a shock you would eat them for breakfast. It may put a spark in your life. Dont eat the fouled ones. Geesh, I could do this all day but I may X the line.
Later that same day....
GIVE US A BRAKE RICHARD!!! spring is on its way. Lettuce see whats for supper .
Love the pictures Richard. Did you get your food at the Automat?
How's that for keeping it auto related
Dallas, if they were giving aWards for the spark plug jokes you would be the Champion. They Ought-to-lite up our day. You are the Wizard and a Split off the old Dorf. I won't try to Bosch up the good humor.
I cam hardly think of a brake joke. I wish I were in your shoes. It's time for me to stop.
Thanks for engaging.
Rich
For serious T & part collectors:
Always liked this one. Don't remember who posted it.
some one here fixed this picture for me awhile back.
Previously posted Fictitious Patent.
KEROSENE TURN SIGNAL
Two horns will make more noise of course,
Than one will make, 'tis true.
But a Model T makes more noise with one,
than a cow can make with two.
A little gas, a little oil,
a little spark, a little coil.
A piece of tin, a piece of board.
Put it together and it's called a Ford.
A Saturday with lots to do,
Is plenty work for most of you,
But one distraction that is warm,
Is sitting here to catch the Forum.
Richard,
The turn signal is quite the ingenious design!
Nice feature is the adjustable "flash" rate...
This universal device fits any lamp...
Can be built from bits and pieces in the shop...
Will function on a variety of fuels...
CAUTION! slight risk of explosion if not operated
in strict accordance to instruction manual!
If the guy who drew the 8th picture is going to out me, the least he can do is spell my name right!
Another fictitious Patent. The power of the thermosiphon phonomina adds power through the fan belt drive.
The secret has been revealed. More miles per gallon. Now every one will want one!
Here's your customized Model T Crossing sign -
Fun for some, not for all . . .
Aren't you glad you bought a roadster, Rich?
I see they were having a half off sale on the body. Nice work and time well spent.
Rich
Ha, ha ! Gil, yep, I sure am !! Ain't you glad your touring is a '14 ? ;- )
Thanks, Rich ! I had to do that for a friend with a '13 touring . . . I hope he thinks it's funny !!
Now there's an "inside" joke to be put "outside."!
From the movie "Buster Tests his Coils".
And if the Thermo Booster above or Wooden cylinder block on Ebay don't increase your power enough you might want to try one of these.
I was told my T has front wheel drive, can I put a "Y" fitting from the horn bulb to the speedometer cable and get the same advantage ?
I don't know Y not.
Funny memes http://memesbams.com/friday-meme/
As long as we're going with Buster,
Rich you had me there, I had to look that up to see if it was a real movie. What a great picture with the light shining out of the coil like that
The only good argument I have ever heard for more Government...
Having always been fascinated by linguistics, I had to google "meme". Interesting. A new word esencially "a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users."
The etymology appears to be "an element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation"
For your consideration; There once was a man from Dearborn, Who worried his autos would be forlorn, But in 1908, the "T" began to congregate... and soon 15 million would be born !
My favorite is the two little boys in the coupe.
I have nothing to add except... Cameron, to mix Monty Python and Model T...thank you!! That has made my entire week!
http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/331880/401937.html?1384663798
Now, THAT is the way I feel every time I start a T up for the first time!
Me too Wayne.
Wayne...you have combined my two great loves....Mel Brooks, and the original Mr. T !! Happy Friday everyone !
John F S, What did I do? Although I do enjoy Mel Brooks.
Many thanks to many people posting good stuff here!
Good one, Richard!!!
Richard, that's the best one yet!!!! Dave
Richard - Isn't that Ron Patterson?
I think Ron had a Ford Tri-Motor chasing him. I am happy if a few are enjoying these. Vern and I may not be able to stop. Feel free to join in.
Rich
Gary White...... that photo you posted was a favorite of Ralph Ricks.....RIP.
I love it!
(miss Ralph)
A meme here, a little satire there, something fun to do, keeps the brain going. The laugh helps.
Vern
The topic about registration cost and sales taxes reminded me of this one.
When the folks at the DMV want to know if your car has 2 doors or 4 doors and your touring has 3 you are in for a long day.
Rich
With one door on a runabout I got out in one-third the time ! ; )
With a Runabout you might get the Runaround in the Roundabout.
Roundabout ? You mean that "spiral of death" just west of your place ?? I got dizzy and when I finally got out of it, I was going a direction i didn't want to go . . .
We have grown to love it. The screaming and horn honking is music to our ears. You may have noticed a cemetery and body shop in near proximity. They are there for a reason. On the bright side there have been no head-on wrecks. All the "Circumcollisions" are fender benders and seldom produce any injury. Centrifugal force upsets loads of cinder blocks, bricks and lumber quite often.
Many fear it and drive miles to avoid it. Others tell tales of surviving it and the great ones in Europe and elsewhere.
It has been great entertainment for me and the kids.
I like to drive the closed T's through it on two wheels.
Rich
Wow, just found out that "Crayola" is older than the Model T.
Glad someone noted that the Philips screw did NOT exist in T times. I have 4 to change out.
(Message edited by Varmint on August 30, 2017)
What a Mesh!
I actually don't know Jack about Crayons. My Daughter had more than I can count and made good use of them. She kept them away from the cars. Someone suggested that Crayola made the boxes for Ford coils. I don't know. Crayola was also mentioned in a discussion of color names a while back. "Brewster Green" etc.
Rich
When my son was younger we took the 41 che#y everywhere. Cleaning up the car one spring dat, I found cake sprinkles all over the trunk and rear seat area. I was upset with the wife that she would leave a food item in the car over the winter. It was not long I realized that I was wrong. I found the crayons under the seat that the mice chewed and ate. Most colors go right through mice. Yellow, green, red, white, mouse turds look like cake sprinkles. I pulled the seats to check before storing car for winter after that.
Dallas, hope you didn't try them before you realized what they were!!! Dave
Now I'm worried about how cake sprinkles are made . . .
Our neighbor's dog used to eat crayons. Don't ask me how I know.
No! Dave I didnt taste test, just visual. I still dont like sprinkles.
Disgusting! So, I'll add to it.
For fifteen years, we had a sweet wonderful and loving cat, with one odd habit. She loved ribbon. I swear that she could smell it. If there were any ribbon in the room? She would hunt it down and eat it. For more than ten years, we had to quit using ribbon for Christmas or birthday presents (if they were to stay in the house for more than a few minutes). Before going ribbonless, I got many a well wrapped "gift" when cleaning the litter box.
Well, I guess this just about wraps it up Wayne ! ; )
It is interesting how these discussions drift. I once asked if anyone had photos of their open car windshields folded down on a Model A forum. It turned to how you should never drive with it folded down and somehow evolved into variations of dogs drinking out of toilets. I was a little offended as I didn't know them as well as I feel I know the folks on this forum.
I will look forward to where we go next.
Squirrel !!!!!
Considering how it drifted these past few days, wonder what it will be like once "cabin Fever" sets in??
Thats funny! BAM! Back on topic.
Indeed, back on topic!
My T is amazing.
The coils play Beethoven at 30mph. At 15mph, Bach.
Turn the ignition off, then back on when driving to play 1812 Overture.
She recycles oil as I drive, putting it right back into the ground where it came from.
I was once chased by a dog. The dog barked, merged into the passing lane, and went around us.
I raced a Mustang and won. It was parked.
Anyone have any more?
Very nice.
Rich
Ok, helping you guys get back on topic :>
Vern,
The TT reference says it all!!!
The film was made 4 years before TTs existed but, hey, it's a joke anyway.
Rhett's reply, "Frankly, I don't give a damn."
Perfect! My dear...
"Life is like a box of lugbolts. You never know what size you'll find."
Dockta Ricky will now explain how the model T
planetary transmission works.
(I hope what I am attempting will work)
Dockta marches to the beat of a different drummer.
I like it.
Rich
Hi Vern.
;o)
Thank you all!! But especially Richard E and Vern (VC) who seem to be the big ones keeping this wonderful thread going!
Thanks Wayne.
Hi Richard, I almost put it to rest but then other ideas got in the way and I had to get them out of my head so I could get things done.
Thank you Wayne
Too close to home Richard. No telling all the things I've made from pallets and wood lying around.
Stuff is where you find it. Making use of things can be very satisfying.
-Richard & Vern-
Being a 'pack-rat' comes along with the hobby. (Just ask my bride!)
Marv, one reward for being a 'pack-rat' is being able to build a car from stuff around the shop. Thank goodness Joy puts up with me.
Is this one hear no evil, See no evil. (Not that T's are evil. ;p)
I know THAT feeling!
Sounds like Humphrey is choking up...or floating on a lil' too much ethanol.
I believe he has a few butterflies in his stomach. They say there is no fuel like an old fuel. 80)
Better butterflies than gas !! ;-)
You guys are cracking me up with these old photos !! Keep it up, please ! Lots of fun !!
They come from idle hands. No body seems to filter this mixture of jokes or needle us too badly about sick humor. Just take a seat and enjoy them.
I have to catch a jet.
Rich
That reminds me, the scary movie titled "Entitled to a title" was entirely tiresome.
Ok, Richard (any anybody else), it's time to get creative. You may title this one anywhere in the thread below like this:
#22 "your caption here"
It may be a prequel to Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
As I remember the "Entitled to a Title" movie featured VINcent Price, Borrus Karlot and a very young Harassing Ford.
#22 "The car NEEDS a water pump." "NO, it DOESN'T."
Richard E, In my opinion (for whatever that is worth), Vincent Price was a terrific actor. He was capable of almost any sort of a role, good guy, bad guy, you name it. He was quoted as saying that his "job was to act, and therefore (he) did". He rarely turned down a role.
Besides, nobody made a bad movie better than he did.
Wayne, I'm with you. I liked him in everything I saw.
Rich
;0) :o)
-Vern-
"I resemble that!"
(My bride agrees...)
#22..."Ready for the band change."
Vern (V C), Now, THAT is funny! Especially to anyone that has had a center-door sedan. Although the coupe with two shift levers in the center was not much easier.
All good ones...
Cranking right handed, hand on brass lamp, no windshield, hard rubber tires and gunmen. What's not to like about that photo?
Okay, that's a good one!
Glad to see I started such a great thread! Let's keep it going!
So true!
Yes Cameron, This is a great thread you started. When your radiator Springs a leak water Falls to the ground. No Winter front on that car.
OK, Summer better than others.
Rich
(Let's all laugh.)
He Autumn install a water pump.
Vern, summer hotter than others!
A seasoned repairman could tell weather you need a pump or not.
I dont have a pump on my T's, I am affraid of the fall out.
The wether might pump, but that won't give any results . . .
"Summer home, summer not"....
More good ones! Thank you.
Vincent's pictures did post on the Forum but being invisible we can't see them.
Here are three of them:
Even better, they're "close captioned" for the blind !! ; )
#22
Gee Dennis Mr. Wilson is gonna be real sore about that tire!
Color version of #22
#22
Get away from my car with that 10/30 ! STRAIGHT 30 only for MY model T !
Words to live by Wayne. ;7)
#22
"Forgot to retard the spark again didn't you!! "
Yes, crank kick-backs can be disarming. :Q(
#22 color: That is not what I meant by, "I need two spindle arms drop shipped."
Hehehehe!
"Don't slam my finger in the door again. And push on the clutch not the crutch."
When I was small, mom shut the door on my fingers. Luckily, it was the top part where the glass was more forgiving, else I would be typing like this akjhsd afasdfassd strtrejhgg gfhgfh.
How is a Model T like a Millionaires Baby?
It gets a new rattle every day.
I miss them.
I know exactly how he feels !! Nuthin' like it !
“It shouldn't take a life-changing event to spark change in your life.”
Shaun Hick
“You hide it well, but I can see it, Lord Verniers. You hate us. We have beaten you to obedience but it's still there, like dry tinder waiting for a spark.”
Anthony Ryan, Tower Lord
“You have to find what sparks a light in you so that you in your own way can illuminate the world.”
Oprah Winfrey
"We should not act Retarded but should Advance what we can for those who deserve it.

Rich, you always offer perfectly timed comments !
Thanks Rich. I guess being and old timer myself I have become a commentator rather than a commutator.
Well, tomorrow's a New Day.
Rich
-Rich-
'French fries' is a common-tater....
Good on ya Rich ! Go get 'em Tiger !
Taters are common around here. It's Crystal clear this discussion Anco na go away. I'll Bull Dog gone if I can think of any popular ones. I get "No Kick" out of trying.
Rich
Of course I wouldn't know all these if Jay hadn't been so generous with his old timer posts.
Stop Distributing your jokes!
Everybody should know, that the key to good joke telling, is all about proper timing.
Maybe I will brush up this Spring on timer jokes. Then my flapper and I will be rolling with laughter. Hopefully we will stop laughing before it becomes terminal. ;7O
Vern (VC), Or should I address this to Buster?
The problem is that you didn't pay attention when we were talking about those early shock absorbers!
(Look under the right front fender)
Sorry, Wayne.
Even I am too poor to pay attention....
HEY!! That is supposed to be MY line!

(Message edited by rich eagle on September 30, 2017)
That's why they call him Buster.
Houdini named him Buster, if I remember correctly.
"Harry Houdini gave him his nickname after witnessing 6-month old Keaton tumble unhurt down a flight of stairs. While likely more myth than fact,* Harry and Bess Houdini did travel with Buster’s parents during their early medicine show days"

"Two Tars" is a great Laurel and Hardy flick. This happens 2:21 into it. Lots of other great action in it.
Rich
Vern, nice photo of a posted T! A little light on the post! The light was almost in their eyes! Ok I will stop before someone tells me to.
....in case you missed it on the other post.
Rich
I believe the Coupe posted Thursday belonged to Ilene Turner. ;03
Can we start a new thread? My index finger has a callous from scrolling all the way down!☺
I think that Cameron Whitaker should have the honors of creating the new "Model T Funnies and Memes part II" and putting a link on this old one which points to the new.
Vern
Thanks for the suggestion, y'all. You're right. This thread is getting way too long for any sane person to read all the way through!
Here's the link to Part II: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/708324/796794.html?1507512306
These are fun
