Hi everyone,
I am in the process of re assembling my front axle on a 1927 T and have discovered that the two spring purches are different. The ford book gives numbers that tell the right side from the left side but my numbers are un readable. Can you tell me which way the word FORD should point, front or rear. Thanks for your assistance on this matter.

There should be a raise spot or dimple right before the the opening for the shackle. That raise spot or dimple should be on the engine side of the axle not toward the front.

Don't use the Ford script. Use the little "dimple" near the top that was used to locate the perch for machining. As the drawing shows, the "dimple" faces to the rear of the car.

Thanks John & Mark.
That was the information I needed to complete my assembly.
