The Ford Parts Book lists a part number 3823 Spring Perch Leather. Does anyone know what this is? I never heard of it before.

3823 is the pad that goes between the front spring and the frame.

My 1928 parts book has 3823 listed as "front spring pad", so it would be one of these, depending on year:

Russ Furstnow makes these. The later T's used top material, with two square pads on each end. Don't do that!
