Kewl !! The door sagged even when new . . . hey, maybe that's MINE ?!?

(Rick - you're getting pretty sharp at model IDs !)

Rich, I've got nothing else to do right now except drool over photos of OTHER people's wonderful cars :-)

Can't see the corners of the turtledeck, but the windshield brackets and the doors stand out as '13. Anything else I should know to look for from this angle to signify '13 or '14? I think windshield and doors are probably the most obvious. It's all fun.

The second to the last one does not have a sagging door, but does have a sagging speedometer cable.

Are the doors really sagging, or just not shut?

I vote for doors not being closed. But then, maybe they keep popping open, typical of at least the rear doors of the '13 tourings! I've not read of any real body sagging issues with the runabouts as much as the tourings. As I recall (now this goes into scary territory!) the reason for the tourings sagging issues was the "back half" was actually separate from the front half? Larry...you'll know!! :-)

That is true.
The only connection is the rather small sills until the brackets came along.
Not Larry but I have a '13!

On the second picture above, the turtle deck has the bead around the bottom like the 1914's.

The door in the first photo is not sagging, it just isn't closed. The runabouts didn't have the problems the tourings did. I have a '13 runabout with the original wood, and it's a good as the day they made the car.

Notice the screws in the hood support in the first and last photos. Not painted; probably bare brass or brass plate, which makes sense if you have seen the photo of the dash assembly bench in the Ford Methods book.

I should have said the third picture from the top has a lower bead on the turtle.

Larry, what is the story on beaded turtle decks ? Mine is not beaded. Also I believe the later turtle decks won't fit the body. Been long time since I restored mine and I have forgotten. Nice photos!

I'm out of town, but I think mine has beads top and bottom.
