Was looking at the classifieds and Mark Chaffin has a pile of T engines, trannys and rear axles for sale, cheap--practically scrap metal prices. I live too far way, rats. I mention this because it sounds like if it doesn't sell it all will become scrap!
Bump for Mark
Freighter Jim
David, were they in this classifieds?
http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/3487/724132.html?1487645089
Believe me I have been thinking but wouldn't have storage for another year or two
Terru.
Yes, in this forum's classifieds; Chad, you snooze you lose!!
I have no personal interest in this sale, just saw a good deal and thought everyone should know about it.
David D.
Other side of the world for me
One engine is a 26/27. The other two are pre-improved models (20's). Two have four dip pans. One does not. The blocks are all pretty good. Several are teens and some are mid 20's. Rear axles are mostly the common variety. One is '15. Included are about 12 drive shaft tubes. I will never use these parts as I have many more in my stash. I believe it is a great deal for someone.
Don't worry. If will NEVER go to scrap.
I wish I wasn't a continent away
Mark, I can't believe you still have the pile; thought there was a bunch of T folks around you!
Of course, might be everyone is facing what I'm facing--major life issue if I were to take $$ out of savings and bring that stuff home!
David,
I had to reread your post. I thought you wrote "major WIFE issues." I guess would apply too!
Um, No Comment!!!
Mark,
Let's not go there ....
We don't have enough money or time left ...

Good answer! Sleeping outside in this cold weather would be tough.
Jim,
No longer a problem for me. Thus, my yard is looking like Model T Haven West.
Obviously, not married.
More!
I also have a huge pile of Model A parts offered for sale for $1,500. Just trying to off load a few parts I will never likely find time to use.
don't temp me Mark!!
John,
Its got your name all over it!
And you obviously don't live near a "Homeowners' Association!"
A lot of Model A and V8 stuff mixed in there. . .
If my better half ever says anything about my "back 40" I'll have to show her your photos!
Mark, I see nothing wrong with your collectable yard art !!!
David,
Happy to help!
Dallas,
Bought this house three years ago to get away from an overzealous HOA. I have yet to regret that decision.
HOA an organization for people that choose to own a home but desire the restrictions of renting.
So very true!
The only reason Mark has buildings on his property .....
He ran out of chain link fence to lean stuff against ....

Yes, I have a rust problem.
Mark, are you coming to Chickasha?I would entertain buying the pile of top bows??
Jack,
I will not have the pleasure; however, I will be going to San Diego this weekend and Bakersfield in a couple of months. I have several piles of top irons and will be going through them as time permits to make them available for purchase.
I have never been to a swap meet in Ca. It's on my bucket list, but I doubt I'll ever make it.Thanks for reply.
I would find being surrounded by your "pile" to be quite cathartic.
Jack come west won't hurt my folks are both Hoosier's but I westerner.
Like Mark single
John B you best buy this don't make me buy it and sell it to you at a profit now your Mrs wouldn't like that
Mark see you in Bakersfield
WHAT did I start?????
Hope it's OK Mark!
Burger,
You can sit next to my "pile" anytime.
You know, Mark .... Corona is just a short run down 395 from Spokane.
Get the TT dialed in and leave tomorrow, I should be able to be down
there in about 3 years !
Hauling a pile of T parts up the lonely backwaters of 395 on a TT flatbed
would be a sight to behold.
Three years! Better leave now as the "pile" will be much larger by then!
Boy,
Sure wish folks would stop bumping this thread ....
Freighter Jim
I wish someone would buy his parts--he needs room for MORE parts!
I would buy them if Burger can deliver them with " THE BEAST". He would probably charge by the hour rather than by the mile.
I update the ad in the classifieds. Price is now $1,000 for the pile. I DO need the room and would like to get these parts in the hands of someone who can put them back in service,
The parts found a good home. Thanks to John (above). Thank you everyone for your help!
That's good news. My beard's been wet with drool and I don't need a single piece...
Mark, may I ask? In the last T pile pic, there's a non Ford fan assembly on top of the misc parts next to the axles and hogs heads.
What's it from?
I have one in my '24 Crappy Lizzhe, got another one with my new T's and pile last August and now I see John is getting one with his new T pile. :-)
They work great to cool a T by the way!
Oh yes, I was gonna smart off and say Mark has so many parts he doesn't use a regular fork, he uses a silage fork to pick them all up.
I'm sorry Mark, I couldn't resist when I saw the silage fork/s leaning against the shed.

Duet,
I have no idea what the fans is off of. But I'll check it out now that you pointed it out.
John B im guessing it's you well done I would hate having Burger haul it up north just ship it south heehee
Glad these parts found a good home
Chuck Norris is afraid of one thing .....
And only one thing .....
Having to walk barefoot on a dark moonless night thru Mark Chaffin's yard .
Freighter Jim
JIM,
ROFL!!!
Obviously, Chuck Norris has no appreciation for the finer things in life.
For those who may be interested, the pile of top bows pictured above are available for the sum of $400. I tried to sell them individually; however, realized it was to daunting a task as I really have no idea what is all there. Not to mention the time. You can pick up or I can deliver to the Bakersfield swap meet next month.
