Today I bought a TT, and it has a warford on it. I toyed around with the idea of putting the warford in my touring car. Could I just swap the driveline/warford out of the TT for the driveline in the T touring car?
Unless you have a car type rear end under that TT, they are universes
apart in ever conceivable way and will not interchange without crazy
amounts of modifications.
Removing the Warford will leave you with a shortened drave shaft/tube.
Finding a stock one to swap in should be no problem, but you will have
to shorten the same on your touring to accommodate the Warford.
If the Warford has an overdrive grear (3-speed), it will make your TT
much more road friendly than without. I would presume most people
want the Warford in a car for the underdrive, as they are most than fast
enough without an overdrive.
In other words, you'd be killing the viability of the TT to gain an under-
drive for the car. Of course, if the Warford is a 2-speed underdrive, why
not stick it in the car ? Having an underdrive in a TT is great for pulling
stumps, but who wants one for that anymore ?
Thank you! That's what I needed to know.
