Did anyone receive a reply or an update from the OCF yet? Did any club receive a reply not just the Model T Club?

Nothing that I've heard of.

I looked into my crystal ball and saw the OCF management staff
rolling about the floor, laughing at the protest letters.

Burger,

Since you didn't grow up with is event, maybe you don't realize how heart sick many of us are about these changes. To us, it's really not that funny.

And you won't. Case closed.

I believe you're correct Tim.

I don't think Burger was saying the subject was funny, but that the OCF Management staff thinks we are all "out to lunch" and what they want to do is what is going to happen; as Tim said, "Case closed."

I hope Burger doesn't take offense, and stop posting. He's the funniest sob on here, other than me.

I think Burger is unoffendable. Undefendable. Undone. Unhinged.
But he drives a TT so he's ok.

Many TTs don't have doors, so it's OK for their owners to be unhinged. . . .

ALCON ~

I never attended OCF, but it sounds like it would be a rare exception
to my general disdain for car shows. The Museum and Village and
participation made it something really special. I have no doubt just
from observation. Everyone's testimonials bear my observations out.

That said, A few years with a badge and three tours in AFG deeply
ingrained in me the training of accepting reality AS WE FIND IT. You
do not wish a bad situation away. You accept that fecal matter is
hitting the fan and take APPROPRIATE actions.

In this case, we are all being fed a shit sandwich, and while I might
applaud those who gave it a good fight to try and influence the OCF
mgt. to do preserve the old show as it was, it has been clear to this
observer that "a new Sheriff was in town", and these people do not
give two shits what anyone thinks, they have a new direction they want
to go with the facility and are taking the "death by 1000 cuts" approach
to chasing off all the old participants.

As for being off my hinges, ..... guilty as charged.

Anyone up for an armed takeover of the museum grounds, put some
period gallows to work ? :-)

Anything short of that is pretty much on par with trying push a rope.

The complaint department at the Henry Ford is now operated by a woman named Helen Wait. If you have a complaint, go to Hel en Wait.

Doubt any bodies laughing but I'm sure of the fact that they knew there'd be some flash back over what they did. Replies or changes are wishful thinking as the board knows exactly what it did and why it did it. That's my question : why? Overtaxed facilities? Where's the money come in from? Admissions or participants? There are reasons this was done and their not saying why.

Charlie,

As a un-invested observer, that is exactly the problem, ... the lack of
honest presentation. The old participants are enjoying having smoke
blown up their ass, and for what ?

Why not just be up front with the reasons and changes and let the chips
fall ? It certainly could not create more strife than the route they have
chosen. It is based on this that I am thinking a few people are getting
pleasure out of the tactics in running this ship onto the rocks for the
old guard of dedicated fans of OCF. Some personality types just like to
mess with people as a matter of getting their bully-type jollies. This op
wears all the marks of having a few of those people at the wheel.

Charlie, You are exactly right.

They could have told us why and asked for our understanding and in the process they would have saved our friendship. We would have understood.

Instead, they are ramming this down our throats, not caring how any of us feel. It's like "it's all us, the h--- with you".

We know they consider the OCF and MM a "hassle".
Well, I had jobs for over 50 years, and lots and lots of times had to put up with "hassles", but it's part of the job. In the same way, it's their job to run the OCF and MM. Sorry if that's an inconvenience guys.

What John Neilson and Patricia Mooradian don't seem to realize is the damage their doing to the reputation of THF by all of this. We know it of course, but apparently they just don't get that.

Sorry, friends, but that's just the way I see it.

Keith

The only way to change this is for all participants, not just T people, to boycott it this year. If they lose a big chunk of funding their minds may change. Money talks ect.
