Was wondering what these numbers represent on the radiator. First one is on the top left and reads 5 15 82. The second one is on the left and reads 8842.
The second one is on the right.
Appears to be added on plates soldered to the radiator upper tank. Might be record of repair by a radiator shop.
What type radiator, Ford brass early or later radiator with steel shell?
Early Ford brass did have numbers stamped in the upper tank.
Images of 1916 Ford radiator with a soldered on tag with number.
I wish someone would start making the early rectangular plates again for the pre '15 radiators.
These are pics of the radiator.
That is a Ford type, and the soldered on tags are from a re-core, as the core looks good, not ragged in the fins!
Pretty normal for late high radiators to have a work over, the shop likely put on those tags.
Have ya run it hot enough to drive out those dang mud dobbers nesting on the upper tank?
