Never had a model T with a starter / generator and want to know about installation of the generator bracket #3017 . This is the piece that bolts onto the side of the cylinder block and upon which the generator and the front cover attach. Is there a gasket between that bracket and the cylinder block? I do see a gasket but thought maybe this was for the piece that goes there if the engine didn't come with a generator.

Yes, but also keep in mind that the thickness of the gasket can be used to set the clearance/lash of the gen/timing gears, usually the gasket in the sets is of correct thickness.

Thanks. Moving up to a T with a starter / generator makes me feel so .... modern. :-)
