I got one of those new bowls for an NH and the inside is painted. Should I remove this paint? Doesn't seem like a good idea unless it's some kind of fuel resistant paint.

I bought one of those bowls the same way. Its a well made bowl but I did remove the inside paint with lacquer thinner.

If it dissolves at all no matter what the solvent it doesn't belong in there. Lose it.

I can't imagine why anybody would put paint in such a place.

I removed it. Don't know why they would paint the inside unless it's fuel resistant paint but I doubt it.

I think it was done to keep it from rusting. The bowl I received had a light coat of paint inside and out. It was a raven black color.
