this is the rear seat area on 1924 touring, what does this metal strap attach to? I lost all my reference pics I took when I disassembled the car. I was devastated

The up right piece is bent. That strap is for upholstery and tacks to the wood on the door post support.

Doug,

William Vanderburg at the posting at: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/506218/549131.html?1434075417 posted the photo showing the rear seat area for a 1923 touring. That should be approximately the same 1921-1925 for the 3 piece rear tub. [Note there may have been some 1921 tourings with the 5 piece rear tub – but the photo is for the 3 piece rear tub that was used 1921-1925.

Respectfully submitted,

Doug,

See also Tony’s 1923 touring rear seat box replacement. It has some good photos of the lower part of the rear seat area. It is located at: http://www.cimorelli.com/mtdl/projects/bodyopen/touring_seatbox/touring_seatbox. htm#removed1 And that would be generally the same for 1921-1925 three piece rear seat tubs.

And the 1923 front cowl is also shown see: http://www.cimorelli.com/mtdl/projects/tech_corner.htm but the 1923 front cowl is different from the 1924-25 front cowl.

Respectfully submitted,
