After a 4 months journey, Shirley works and is back on the road. While we are not completely done yet. Many thanks to all but especially to John Tannehill, Clint Allred, Steve Jelf, John Regan, Steve Lang, Space City T's and many more. I have put nearly all discussion threads in summary below for what it takes to go from purchase to going through a worn out T to back on the road running 'good enough'. Major contributions are the first thread which is a nearly complete differential tear down and rebuild.
In the final going there was leaks galore, you really do have to torque the head bolts down after running 20 minutes, good thing I had a Holley NH because the Kingston L4 was a bust. Fuel valves are good things and don't forget to close the petcock on the carburetor tight or you'll leave a trail of gas in the street. Filing the rod caps and shimming them, resurfacing the valves, cleaning up the soot and changing out the exhaust yielded a smooth sounding T engine.

Ignacio, To you and your local T club members, congratulation on the successful running of your Model T after all your hard work.
It looks like new safety glass for the windshield will be on the list next.
Congratulations Ignacio....that's great news.
I really need to get plugged in to the Space City T's, but probably won't until my Wednesday evenings get freed up in June.
Coming to the meeting Wednesday evening?
I've read your progress posts and am happy you now have a running, driving T. Congratulations on getting Shirley up and running and for you not giving up.
Ignacio...congratulations , done early enough in the year to have many days to enjoy driving and the occasional work break ...always an optimist...gene french
Congratulations on a successful project. I have admired your perseverance through it all. Too many folks loose their patience early on and call it quits. I'm so glad you stuck with it. Now is the reward!
You certainly had some of the best helping you along the way. I hope I was also helpful in some small way.
I followed the threads as your project progressed. Have to admire your tenacity and perseverance. Good job!
Ignacio: You have really done a good job and you should be proud of yourself that you kept on and nearly got a finished "T". I would say that most all of us have gone thru almost the same thing you went thru. SO FEEL PROUD!!! You will note the last words in CAPS I was out shouting for you!!!!
I'm happy for you Ignacio! Feels good eh?
Perseverance and patience with a sense of humor? That's you sir.
Congrats Ignacio, How about a vid of the engine running when you get a chance...We love pics and vids.
Thanks, I have a vid but need to edit it a bit.
