Hey there folks! I hope everyone is starting to enjoy the warmer weather and getting time to play with their T's.

I was about to look at ordering a new top for my 23 touring. While going through my Grandfather's garage today I found a box from JC Whitney from 1989... and it contains a new top. WOO HOO!!!

I have laid out the contents of the box, hoping that it contains everything needed to replace the current top. Please take a look at the attached pictures and let me know what you think.

As always, thanks again to this group for such amazzzzing information great opinons.1923 Top1923 top1

Looks like a complete top kit. Do you have a set of top pads? They are sold separately. I put a new top on my 23 Touring a few months ago. The parts list from Cartouche is:
1 Top deck
1 Rear Curtain
1 Front windbreaker
1 Set long top straps
1 Set short rear straps
1 set of bow coverings 4 pieces
1 Package of tacks
1 Roll of Hidem 24'
6 chrome Hidem tips
8 Eyelets and washers for the Gypsy Wings (my car needed 6 Lift-a-Dot snaps)

If you need the instructions let me know and I will send you a copy.

Thanks Dan! Appreciate the info. If you would like to email the instructions, that would be perfect!

I will take your list and break down what I have, as I think the top pads are in there as well... but will double check. ;)

Wow, a neat find. You're going to have some serious creases in that top from long time, folded, storage. A heat gun will help, but with a top that long stored they may not come out all the way.

I've always advised that, when you receive a kit top, immediately take it out of the box and spread it out somewhere, spare bedroom or whatever works. Even folded for months there'll be creases to deal with.

Hope your installation goes well!!

Neat! I would install that top.

Unfolding it and laying it out on a paved driveway on a hot day always seems to help. This works great too for new tires, by the way.

The biggest threat to stored tops over time seems to be mice.
