So, I did this thing yesterday at the Rhinebck N.Y. swap meet.....Proud new owner of a 1926 Model T Ford Coupe! Arrives Monday. Older restoration done years ago by a WWII Army Engineer veteran according to the guy I bought it from. It has some defects: slight tear in upholstery (easy fix), minor paint fade and minor nicks, dings and chips, radiator is painted but should be nickel plated (may be nickel underneath, if not I can hunt for the correct shell), headlights are painted should be nickel, fortunately I already had a spare nickel set. Pretty much just nitpicking though at that point. I'm very happy.

I like it! The usual tinkering, drive and enjoy it! Make additional improvements as you go. Looks like a good choice.
Drive carefully, and do enjoy that thing! W2

Wow, good find Matt. That is light years from the chassis you were putting together.

I stayed home from Rhinebeck figuring it was going to be rainy. Here in Albany it was beautiful all day...at least I got my lawn mowed.

Great car - congratulations! I don't like the way the front strap holds it on the trailer - I've seen front axles get bent that way. I hope yours is okay. If it's bent, straighten it cold with a press - don't heat it. Again, great car.

It's definitely way ahead of the Chassis I was putting together. I figure a 6 volt battery, drain and replace the oil, gas, and lubricant in the rear end, open up the transmission inspection plate quick, and I should be all set for a startup and test run. It was pouring rain as my grandfather and I went all up and down over the car looking it over. We had it in park and turned the motor over 6-8 revolutions: nice and tight but not too tight and the sucking sounds like it's going to have good compression.

Congrats on the car!!!!!!!!!!

Some people can fall into a barrel of POOP and come out smelling like a bouquet of Roses
Make it a very safe to drive car and enjoy it. Good catch
