Model T Ford Forum: Forum 2017: Differences between front spring clamps

I recently bought a pair of front spring clamps off eBay, and they're quite a bit different than the ones that came off my 1926 Coupe.

The clamp on the left measures about 0.094" in thickness, compared to 0.157" for the one on the right. The clamp on the left also has a Ford script, while the one on the right does not.

Any info as to the differences? Is the thinner one (Ford script) a reproduction?

Yes, I believe so.

Michael, without a parts book in front of me I can only say this. A '26 is an 8 leaf spring, and an early 25 on back is a 7 leaf spring. The taper leaf spring clamps are different yet!
