In 1852, Christian Peper from Germany founded the Peper Tobacco Company in St. Louis. His great-grandson founded what eventually became the largest law firm in St. Louis. I am thinking that the founder of Peper Automobile Company was from the same family.
An early photo. I believe that's a c1905 Model L Tourabout. The earlier ones didn't have running boards, just cast metal wagon step plates.
