Also, no top saddles. I don't see the rubber plugs either, but they must be there.

I have that aftermarket spare carrier on my '25 roadster/Pickup (haven't decide yet which it will be! :-) It uses a Ford spare carrier as part of the assembly.

John: Sometimes they put blankets on when parking to keep the engine heat for as long as possible.

Rich: Ok, there's chains on, but still a bit deep - though, I don't think it was as deep right where it's parked - could have been packed by others parking there before?

Ropes or chains work great. Drove mine in the fields last winter in snow up to running boards. The heater doesnt work worth a darn!

That could very well be! I'm noticing now that the bed looks like a Perry Bed, and that is one of my options (I have the remains of a Perry bed).
