Those painted on signs are disappearing. I'm sitting outside the store in town waiting on my boss to cash a check. There used to be a Coca Cola sign painted on the side. Now it's just a brick wall. Not to mention most of the cool old buildings in town have been leveled and replaced with new stuff like Dollar Stores and Sonic.

Ed,I have lived within 7 miles for 40 years and that is the first time i have seen that! A friend of mine worked there in 1969 when they also sold Oliver tractors and he said he had never seen the script on the building. He also said they were clearing out Ford parts and tools like a hand crank coil tester but no one wanted that old time stuff.I think we will have supper in Merrill Friday so i will look! I wish you would have called!! Bud.

I wonder if the brick wall was water blasted. To me it looks like it was. The Ford logo may have been painted on or maybe there was a sign on it to begin with when the building was a lot newer.

If one looks, you will see where the roof of the shorter building covers the lower part of the Ford script.I think your right it was old and water blasted? Going east on M-46 it is on the north side in the first block after the stop light.I do not know about how long but it was Johnson Ford.Bud.
