even the Michelin man's white tires turned brown
Is that Henry Ford?
Does he use a fatman steering wheel?
Ah yes, Bibendum, the Michelin Man. The oldest, currently used trademark in the world. First used in 1894.
Is that French (Canada) or Spanish (Mexico)? I noticed the Chiclets poster above the tire man's head so maybe Mexico?
The van is lettered in Spanish, but it may be in Spain, tires are "llantas" in Mexico. They call 'em "gomas" in Spain (and Puerto Rico), maybe in other Spanish speaking countries as well. Kind of an odd mix, the van is advertising chocolates, cookies, confections and "famous Michelin tires".
Gee, maybe if Helm's Bakery here in L.A. had thought of selling tires from their "Coaches", along with those fantastic chocolate doughnuts, they'd still be around!?
The Michelin man looks a little dirty. Tough times.
Doughnuts that double as tires. I can get those at the local gas station! They deliver todays doughnuts yesterday at 4 pm.
Tomorrow is Doughnut Day. Look for your free donuts around the US.
The Michelin man was a scary looking dude in those days. I think I now have Halloween planned out.
