Can I "easily" change my transmission bands without removing the hogshead? I have a new set of Kevlar bands coming in the mail, already riveted.pinned in and everything ready to install. This will be for my 26 Coupe so I'm guessing the band type is going to be the "quick change" eared type. I plan on stuffing rags down the insides to prevent nut loss of course. Can it be done? Any tips or tricks? I have that weird rolled up band tool from Lang's but have no clue how to use it.
There have been two current threads about changing bands though the inspection lid, thus about every one with an input has already written their experiences there:

There is a risk bending the bands, and that's dangerous with kevlar. Lifting the hogshead is a tough project (lots of work and heavy) but less risky .
