Tail light socket contact repair?

My T came with one of these tail lights: https://www.modeltford.com/item/6593TL-L.aspx The wire broke off of the crimped contact in the socket that touches the bulb contact. Is there a way to fix this? There is no wire left on the contact to splice. Soldering did not work.

Have you tried pulling the contact out through the socket, the little spring should come with it...spreading the crimp and recrimp and or solder it with a new wire? That's what I'd try first...failing that, I'd buy a new one...but try taking it apart first...after all what have you got to lose? :-)

Generic auto parts stores sell a light bulb socket kit with contacts and short wire pigtails, you could splice in one of those:
